I tried this restaurant for the first time today (Sunday)...will definitely visit again. I had the pizza combo lunch special. A slice of cheese pizza and added - pineapple, roasted garlic & caramelized onions; and the kale salad. The pizza was rather good, but the kale salad was truly delish! My mom had the hummus plate...oh man!!! The bread slices...delish! I could have eaten just bread, that's how good it is! But paired with the hummus...down right deliciousness! Will definitely return and recommend checking them out. Our waiter was very kind, friendly and attentive. Give this gem a try!
Picazzo's is an amazing restaurant with great tasting food and wonderful service. The staff is friendly and pleasant. The food tastes amazing and is professionally prepared. The atmosphere is wonderful too. Like your home town Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a variety of food, choices, and very healthy options. I highly recommend this place.
This was my second time dining here. I appreciate the menu of clean eating options and any items that meet quenching the craving of comfort food. On this visit I opted for just an appetizer. The whipped herb ricotta was on happy hour so I thought I'd try it. I love ricotta cheese in lasagna and on pizza but never had it as an appetizer. It was served with cuts of toasted focaccia bread. Beautiful as it was presented it tasted good, but needed salt to bring out the flavor. I used a little salt that was on the table and it made that ricotta 'pop'. The bartender who waited on me was very polite and had quick with serving me and my table. Me and my party sat outside on the patio and it was nice until the flies thought it was dinner time for them when our food came out lol. I will definitely be back to try the baked wings and one of the pizzas.
Update: We actually came back a few nights later -!and had a less than ideal experience. The food was really good again. However- the noise level from the people dealing with the dishes was out of control. I understand how it can br very noisy in a small space and all. But the noise from someone dumping those dishes out was terrible. Plus our server was less than attentive. That's all I'll say. Not as enjoyable at all. We had gone 2 years ago to the Sedona site and it was so good there! We were excited to eat at Picazzo in Mesa. Not a disappointment!! Again a wonderful server, fantastic pizza and delicious wine. I had the puttanesca pizza and my companion had the fig and hot honey one. Both were amazing. Super crust. We sat outside on their pleasant porch and enjoyed a leisurely evening.
This was my first time dining at Picazzos. I've found my new clean eating spot. I'm not going to lie, I was not expecting to enjoy everything as much as I did. The restaurant itself was very clean, very chill ambience. The waitress was very nice and accommodating with questions and answers. I ordered the Happy hour red sangria, I LOVE a good Sangria and this one was definitely a good one. To eat I ordered, Spicy Chipotle Chicken with Zoodles substitute. OMG!!! Words cannot explain how good this was. Of course, because this is clean eating, I didn't feel stuffed, every bite was amazing, full of flavor. I will be going back very soon Rate 10/10
